Which road to take?

I need to loose about 120 lbs total, but 60lbs for a short term goal. I am wondering if i should do weight watchers or L.A. weight loss? I looked into slim 4 life, but it was over $900, so thats out. Any thoughts?

I would suggest weight watchers, because they adjust your points to your weight from the beginning, there for it will help you get into the habbit of things.

However, if you suck like me. I just used all my points to eat unhealthy foods and then fast once my points were gone. And sometimes I went out of control, so if you can eat healthy and do it, its the best for weight loss.
 
how about just watching your calories and using an website like to keep track of your calories.

LA Weight loss from all I've read - and from meeting with them once - is all about upselling you suplements and not worth the money - Weight watchers when I tried it was too low a calorie for me - and the meetings were downright annoying - though if they help to keep you accountable then go for it.
 
Adventuregirl, the only support that WeightWatchers gives you is a forum, just like this one. And their "points" system is just another way of thinking about calories. My opinion is that you can get your support from this forum and from people in real life (for free). And like Maleficent says, use FitDay to count your calories and workouts.

However, if you think that WW's local meetings and weigh-ins might help you, then it's certainly something you can think about.
