Sport which nuts?

Sport Fitness
What are the most beneficial/healthy nuts?

Some say peanuts because they are lower in fat than others, while some swear by almonds because of protein and other nutrients.

Taking into consideration fat, carbs and protein, as well as other vitamins and minerals they contain does anyone have any opinions?

Each nut has its differing qualities, depending on what you want will determine whats really bets for you.

Peanuts us you say is packed with monounsat fats which reduce cholesterol and the risk of heart disease while almonds have the most calcium out of all nuts and has lots of protein.

Research other nuts and youl find some such as chestnuts with almost no fat, energy boosting vitamin B and vitamin C. Whilst Walnuts have plenty of polyunsat fats to combat high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Agree with Matt. You should go with a variety of nuts, they're all good for you. I'd look for raw, unsalted, no additives where possible. I especially love almonds, peanuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, and cashews(technically a seed).

Matt, I don't think I've ever tried chestnuts, any good?

Cant say ive tried chestnuts although they sem to be popular with all these catoons these days:):)

my fav has to be good ol cashews :)

Yup all nuts are great.

I love raw cashews too. Although I think my favorite nut would have to be the pecan. They have a sweet aftertaste and give me energy like no other.

Deez nuts!

sorry I couldn't resist. It's friday and I'm out of the office all next week!!!!!!

stick to nuts that aren't dry roasted/honey roasted...and if they are salted, (or you can't stand unsalted nuts) try to get low salt. Planters has some south beach labeled nuts out that are low salt and no added crap.
