This thread should just be shut down really...its just begging for spammers.

Just a reminder...no links to ebooks will be permitted.

Why is it considered spamming if the person specifically requested a

suggestion on someone's opinion on the best ebook available? What if

someone is genuinely trying to make a good suggestion that may have helped

them accomplish the same goal? What's the point in the forum then if you can't

honestly help the next person? That's why I signed up, to listen and to share,

not ebooks really, but whatever it may be to help.

this site has spammer problems, badly, due to the amounts of money that can be made selling scams on the weight loss industry. While the mods do a pretty bang up job of keeping a lid on it, and the spammers down to a dull roar, for everyone's benefit, the link posting policy is a bit *ahem* draconian, but necessary.

So much as I've seen, you can say the name, all that, just don't use the site to drive traffic to other commercial sites. Yes, a number of spammers are paid simply to trawl boards like this and post links to the scam of the day.

But I digress. My vote.. "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle".. good eBook, knowledgeable author, etc.

FWIW, I agree that the link policy is extremely strict - my policy is not that strict and I advocated for a less restrictive policy. But ultimately the rules of the owner and Admin override any moderator's opinions. And once the owner says "this is the way it is" then my job is simply to follow his direction.

However I will say this: When someone who has fewer than 5 posts starts posting links to ebooks or other commercial resources online, then it looks very suspicious. I'd be much more willing to overlook a link posted by someone like D above, because he has a history of *participating* on the board, posting helpful information, and generally being a part of the community. People with 2 posts who start posting links - yeah, those links will be removed until they've proven themselves to be a part of the community.

If anyone objects to the policy (which is posted here for reference: http://weight-loss.fitness.com/newcomers/38247-rules-about-links.html) please feel free to take it up with Sean.

Lose Fat Build Muscle

The ebook Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle is excellent. It really helped me lose weight but, more importantly, to improve my body composition. I had a body composition test done on a cruise ship last year and the results were really good. I lost a lot of weight and, unlike previous attempts, the weight does seem to stay off more easily - presumably because I did it right and increased my lean muscle! The e-book is not just for bodybuilders. Link removed is a great site which gives more details and someone's experiences and actual weekly results. It's really inspiring.
