I have been doing a bodyweight program at home for about the past 4 months.
Generally i'll do pushups, and bodyweight rows, then some ab work and rotator cuff resistance band exercises. Occasionally i'll do some dumbbell curls, especially if i use a close grip in my pushups on the given day.
I'd say i could probably max at about 30-35 pushups depending on how i'm feeling on the day.
The routine i'd been doing was 1-2 days a week of
2 sets of pushups
2 sets of the rows
and 2 sets of whatever else i done.
I downloaded an app last night for like drill sergeant training of pushups, and it wants you to do (example: 10 pushups every other day for 2 weeks, then it will increase the number by 5, and you would do 15 pushups every other day for 2 weeks, and so on).
Would i be better doing that program, and doing rows also?
Basically its one set of pushups every other day. And i'd incorporate rows for one set just to balance everything out. But would i be better off doing that routine over what i'm currently doing?
I'm just looking at building some lean muscle, nothing bodybuilder, just basically have some tone with low bodyfat.
