Which do you enjoy more working out or eating?

If for some reason you were suddenly only able to either eat or work out which one would you chose? Imagining that your body wouldn't change or be effected positively or negatively.

I'm torn, I love to eat but I love to run and I love weights!

I love weights, love eating.

I think eating i would have to choose.

As long as you don't group all sports into working out I pick eating. I love lifting weights but I love food more no doubt.

Functional requirements to live: Water first, Food second.

I would choose water as first priorty.

Food or eating as second priority (knowing I have a ample supply of food (within my own body) for a certain time period)

This would be my BASE priorty.

IF it was a function just to survive.

How much I would exercise (because "methods" of exercise are ALWAYS available to us), would depend on whether I needed to conserve energy and water--dependent on the environment representation.

I choose LIFE over working out if it came right down to that question, and then use my nutrition knowledge to enable me to survive.

Best wishes,

Chillen

If I my body was not affected negatively or positively, I would choose working out. Because then I could get lost in some jungle or island and would be able to just walk/swim home without losing any energy at all. In fact, I would save so much more time just here and there not having to cook, eat, etc. My mental and physical performance would be static. ^^^^ would be awesome

well since it wouldn't affect my body in either way why work out? I wouldn't have any progress and would be demotivated after a few years.
Lei makes a good point too though. But I love the taste of food :D

If you never got hungry ever again, I don't think you'd miss it too much.

It's kind of like being deaf but being really really good at reading what people are saying.

Most of us prefer to "eat" and I could do with a padlock on my fridge. Do we eat to live or do we eat to live?

That's do we eat to live or do we live to eat?

but food still tastes good. And I don't think I would work out without seeing results. I love the actual process of working out, but the most fun is when you can add more weight.

Of course you'd miss it even if you weren't hungry! I think I enjoy food much more when I'm not hungry and just doing it for pleasure!

Whats the point of working out if you can't get any stronger or make any improvements?

In that case, i'd be eating food non stop.

I can't help but wonder why things get so side-tracked. I'm 99% certain the OP was just asking from what do you get more pleasure: eating or working-out?

From that some of us extrapolated that we had to choose to either eat OR exercise. Well, of course we need to eat in order to survive so I really don't think that was the question's point. Somebody figured we'd get no benefits from exercising so we may as well just eat and yet another person figured we could eat as much as we want. Guys...really, it's just this simple: compare the pleasure you get from exercising to that of eating.

FWIW....I double my pleasure: I eat WHILE I exercise!!! :D

tsk tsk...amateurs ;)

LOL...mostly kidding, but on my longer weight-training sessions, I'll sometimes borrow a page from some of the body-builders I've seen and sip from a protein shake, and I drink the Double-Chocolate shake...so yes: exercise AND eating! :D

There was this one time at a racquetball tournament that they served pizza mid-way through the event (very odd)....but we were just playing for fun, I had no placement going and I didn't feel like chugging the slices that were quickly & rapidly disappearing....so there I was playing doubles in the back of the court...racquet in my right hand, slice of pizza in the left. You don't use the left hand for much anything with racquetball, so why not. It was funny.

The weirdest thing I've ever seen was about 17 years ago....a group of friends invited me to play softball. Casual game. Mixed gender. Goof-off game. The other team had some pregnant gal playing in right field...as she stood out there with her glove on, she had a cigarette in her other hand. Woman, pregnant, smoking standing/playing in right field. Very strange. Dumb bitch! (smoke/pregnant).
