Ok so i was wondering about whey protein powder, does anyone on here use it as a weight loss supplement or in place of one of their snacks/meals? i would like to know if that would be a safe thing to do since my schedule works like this.

Get up.
immediately begin cardio with water only.
(This is the part i want to know about, does anyone use this after workout meal for a protein shake?)

I drink a protein shake almost everday and I love them. I use it mostly to just get more protein into my diet (I dont eat a lot of meat) so when I make them I do like 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup frozen mango, 1 cup soymilk, 1 scoop of protein powder, and 2 tsp of fiber powder :)

Do not use a protein shake to replace on of your main meals i.e lunch. As Mad4Chillas said, they can be used if you are a vegetarian and don't get much meat in your diet. Otherwise, they are used essentially for building muscle mass. It's good to drink them every day after working out because they will definitely provide you with some results. They won't help you lose weight, they will help your muscles build. Essentially what happens is when you lift weights you functionally tear your muscles. When these muscles are rebuilt by your body, they build back stronger. Protein helps this reconstructive process and will lead to bigger, stronger muscles.

Hope this helps. :)
