whey protein

hi there. a friend of mine wanted to no what is whey protein good for? what does it actually aim to do? in what context should it b used? like how many times a day?
 
Whey is a type of protein. Proteins help buld muscles and many other things in the body. A person who is lifting should get around 1gram of protein/lb of body weight. So if you can't meet that criteria by just eating normal food, supplement your diet with whey protein.
