Whey Protein Shake recipes

I just got a big case of whey protein. And it tastes great!


Started out mixing it with water but decided to experiment. You guys should try
1 scoop of whey
2 cups of milk
3 scoops of vanilla ice cream

Full of ice to the top

Theeeeeen 5 seconds of Absolut Apeach. Shove it all in the blender...That'll put some hair in your ass.

J/k about the Vodka part but the rest is good :)

What are some ideas for shakes?

Umm I think you may be missing the point of the protein shake... :) Try 1 cup skim milk, 1 frozen banana, 2 or 3 handfuls of frozen fruit and a scoop of protein powder - blenderize it... Very nice smoothie.

I'll make sure to try it when I get some fruit.

I just finished working out and I made the weirdest shake. 1 cup of milk one scoop of whey and 1 guayaba(all I had =/) :boxing_smiley:

I mix these up when I have the calories available and a taste for s.t. like ice cream:


250 ml skim milk
1 frozen banana
Raspberries
1 scoop Vanilla Whey powder
110 gr plain yogurt
Blend on high

Think and rich, better than ice cream!

The Egg Nog shake:

250 ml skim milk
1 scoop Vanilla Whey powder
1 frozen banana
15 gr peanut butter
a few shakes of nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Blend on high

Christmas in a glass!

Fresh pineapple
Fresh papaya
Fresh mango
1 scoop Vanilla Whey powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
ice
Blend on high

1 shot espresso
1 heaping teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 scoop Vanilla Whey powder
cinnamon
ice

Minty smooth:

200 ml skim milk
1 scoop Vanilla Whey powder
2 drops peppermint extract (careful, this stuff is strong)
ice

after alot of refining this is my favorite protein shake as far as nutrition, taste, and cost efficiency

4 frozen strawberries (buy in bulk)
half frozen banana
water (add to desired thickness) --can also use milk instead or add some in
1 scoop of strawberry whey protein
optionally put in a bit of Tang mix for extra taste
 
Heres' a bunch of recipes that I wrote a while back,some of them do not sound so good but they are all easily stomachable.

I'd like to try the eggnog shake, but I've always heard that raw eggs can cause salmonella(sp?). Am I being too cautious? The tuna one is making me queasy just thinking about it though! :drooling1:
 
Yeah, and how about that steak and diet coke? Wtf is up with that?

Experimenting with shakes is fun, although I've gotten boring lately.

My favorite one though is:

1/2 cup oats blended in coffee grinder
2 scoops chocolate whey
1 tbsp. flax seeds blended in coffee grinder

Nice blend of protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. Beat that!
