I'm going to New Zealand/Australia from the U.S. and want to bring my whey protein with me for my workouts. I'd have it in my checked bags. Even though I don't think anyone would suspect it's cocaine, I'd rather not have it confiscated or get denied access to either country because of it. I have no idea what cocaine smells or taste like, but I would doubt it would taste like chocolate or strawberries!
I'm going for a conservation project during my summer off from college. I did this before and we're usually working in remote locations; working for a week and move around every week. I won't have a chance to get to the store and won't have an address to order anything since we move around so often. I know what kind of powdered protein I like so it would be best if I could just bring it along rather than finding something once I'm there. I'm a thrower on the track team so I need to keep up with my workouts and the proper nutrition that goes along with it: I can't take an entire summer off. I won't have a weight room either so I'll have to take resistance bands and make-do the best I can.
I'm hoping if I declare the protein they wouldn't have any problem with it if it's in my checked baggage. Have you ever taken powdered protein with you on your travels and did you have any problems with airport security/customs?
