Hi, i'm a 6ft male,42 years old, and weigh 232lbs. In my first two weeks i lost 11lbs (which ive been told is just water) without exercise. My next two weeks eating app 2,200 calories i lost nothing so i tried 30 mins a day on the treadmill and a week later still no change. Ive tried the Harris Benedict Formula eating 2,800 calories and still no change infact the weight has gone up. I eat healthy small meals during the day with plenty of proteins and water, no tea or coffee or booze, what am i doing wrong?

What's your daily eating schedule like? What do you eat, and when?

First question is are you absolutely 100% sure that you're eating the number of calories you think you are? It's really really really easy to underestimate serving sizes and be off by several hundred calories per day. Unless you're WEIGHING (and I do mean weighing on a food scale, not measuring with a measuring cup) your food, you probably are eating more than you think.

Spending about a week logging your food - every single bite - would probably help you a lot to see what you're eating and where you might be able to change up a bit.

Also, just keep in mind that weight loss is not always linear. It sucks, but some of us (me included) don't lose in a steady progression. I tend to lose in chunks ... sometimes going weeks w/out a scale change and then suddenly seeing a several pound drop. It's annoying to follow on the scale, but over time it averages out to a healthy loss.
