When will my lovehandles go away and stomach get smaller?
Im 6feet i was 260 in sep, im now 210 and i dont notice a huge difference in my body..

Should i eat more?
I eat around 1k calories daily and do cardio 40-80mins daily/ride bike a few miles

Weight lost too fast bad? people keep telling me its bad to lose weight fast why is that?

No one can say for sure when YOU will notice your body getting smaller. It'll happen though!

As far as your calorie intake, 1000cals is way too low!! REad this ...

There are lots of reasons why losing weight fast is bad for you!! Here is a good site about it....

losing weight is NOT the same as losing fat.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to crash diet is to eat very little (sub 1k calories) and do tons of cardio. While there is some fat loss, a large bulk of the "weight" loss is going to be connective tissues and muscle mass, while th body does everything in it's power due to feeling it's starving to slow down your metabolism as much as possible and hold onto every last drop of fat stores..

It's VERY common for people who lose weight this way, to hit their goal "weight" and look in the mirror and still look very flabby and fat. It's because they are flabby and fat. All the things that make a body healthy and fit are completely wasted away to nothing, the persons metabolism is destroyed, and they still look fat because the body is trying to keep every last gram of fat is has intact due to the person losing weight incorrectly..

It's easy to lose a ton of "weight". It's hard to lose "fat". See the difference? You're doing well of you're losing 1% of your total body weight in fat a week. Don't expect much more than that though.

i should eat more even tho im not really that hungry? i eat alot of fiber and protein and feel full most of the time.. only time i get hungry is past 10 at night

i know ill look flabby, because im really working out my chest/arms but im fine with that, want to look decent in a shirt. also my arms have always been pretty weak ive never really worked out, i was thinking of doing once im done with the weight lose

yea, you really should eat more. Also, why wait to work out till after your weight loss??? Doing it now will be a big help!

its a pain to lift :< maybe ill start today.

also i feel healthy from eatting the stuff i do now, used to eat alot of bad junk:\

You don't have to lift to lose weight. Simply walking will help.

But I have to really wonder if you aren't still seeing the old you instead of the new you. You was 260 and now are 210. You really can't see a 50 pound difference?

but yeah..1000 calories is WAY too low for your current weight..for most people actually. Maybe you shouild try keeping a food diary for a week and see what you are eating.

Yeah, I can relate to what you are saying from early on in my weight loss. I lost most of the weight in the first month of my weight loss (over 20 pounds) by mostly diet. Then, I started to walk...walking turned to light, light jogging. Now I am doing compound lifts (push ups, squats) after my jogs. I can say it's truley crazy the change in my body in the last couple months, even though the weight loss has slowed significantly. I put on some 34" waist pants last week, and they actually fit, even though I only lost another 15 pounds from 2 months ago. 2 months ago, my 38" pants were tight. Just keep going, you HAVE to get some excersize, and try adding some light snacks during the day to keep your metabolism up a little bit. You can eat hard-boiled egg whites. You can eat LF string cheese. You can eat celery and laughing cow cheese (low fat)... all of those are staples for my diet, and actually really help

i kinda notice, but it isnt that huge of a difference like i was in XL shirts (sometimes they were tight on me, my sides) i wear L now but still use some of my old XL ones that fit well, my pants were 40's and 42's(they were lose tho) mostly use the 38s now with a belt.

i was thinking 50 pounds would be a huge noticeable difference, more then 2 pants sizes. meh

and about the food diary i eat mostly the same stuff everyday,
7-8am breakfast is cup-cup and a half of kashi cereal with 2% milk
11-12pm lunch is after i do cardio at the gym fiber bar and a protein drink
5-6pm dinner healthy choice bowl or a 3servering can of tuna and unsalted cracks

when i do cardio i try to push myself hard (30secs-2mins, on elliptical 200-210strides per min) and then rest. or go faster then normal for a good while (10mins, on the elliptical 170-180strides a min) then rest, repeat.
i also use the other machines like this^^^^^^^^^^(or try too a least lol)

when i 1st started going to the gym i walked there, it's a 5mile walk there and back, its getting colder now so i ride the bike there. gonna have to start driving soon tho the weather is getting colder.

yeah..you are eating WAY too little. Also, where is anything even remotely green in that? Can I ask why you think that you can't eat a balanced diet and lose weight?

i do eat apples/bananas/strawberries time to time also, i really didnt know much about a balanced diet when i started trying to lose wieght. got used to eatting that as much as i do now and looked at the scale everyday and seen it was going down so i kept/keep eatting what i am now, i think i do need more fat in my diet now tho

It went down because you are undercut your calorie intake while ramping up your calorie output. Take a second and look at your diet, is this something you can or want to do for the rest of your life? Eatting an occassional apple or banana doesn't make up for the lack of nutrients that is going on in your system.

To be honest, you might be at a plateau as well as pretty much starving yourself. Try eating somewhat normally, add more color in your diet (veggies and fruits) and see what happens.

ill eat a real lunch tmrw, and snack some in the day see if i feel any different/more energy(even tho i feel fine now><)

and about the diet for the rest of my life, i dont know really i do miss some junk food like pizza and what not BUT, i enjoy seeing pounds come off more.. i dont know if this will fade in the future

I want to know who put some of these ideas in your mind. You CAN have pizza and other things. It comes down to moderation. I've lost 50 pounds nice and slow without starving myself and even without exercise.

Take some time to read the forum stickies, there is GREAT info in there that might help you out here.

the last time i ate pizza i stopped losing weight for 4days haha(didnt put any on,idk if it was from that or what it was). im going to add peanuts/eggs/more yogurt and look for more foods that have polyunsaturated fat and monounsaturated fat

Hey soaps,

I also correlate things like eating one thing to not losing weight. For example. I drank over the weekend, and ate some not-so-healthy foods as well. It's easy to deduce from that, that because of my drinking+food= weight gain. Same as pizza for you. It may not be that simple, but one thing I have found for me is that as long as I go back to my diet in the subsequent days, I am back to normal. Since a diet from 260 like you are doing is a marathon, not a sprint. It's my opinion that you should just sit back and enjoy the ride as much as possible. If you are able to have an occasional food you love (whether it's pizza, desert, etc.) it will keep you motivated in the long run.

I was saying before, it takes my body a long time to catch up to the weight loss in shape. I lost 20 pounds in a month, and it took 3 months for my body to "look" 20 pounds lighter to me. If you can keep going like you are doing, and stay motivated you will look better after the new year, because your body should start to catch up to where you are weight wise. Good luck!

Kinda stopped losing weight fast, had to do family things been at 210 for almost a week, i think it may be because ive not been eatting as much fiber as i used to i dont know tho
