whats wrong with my diet or me?

I have had some success with weight loss over the years I lost about 125-15lbs or so. I gained a lot back and re lost it and do it in a healthier way this time. 6'2 around 195lbs fully clothed with sweater and shoes. I have never been thin and am, well they tell me I am a bigger broader type of figure if you know what I mean.

What I am curious is recently I noticed though periods of almost insatiable hunger where I am just super hungry and kind of cant control myself. Not only that but it seems I am sometimes a bottomless pit. Since maybe last September I have gained about 10lbs but I am semi steady where I am at now. Usually what I crave is sweet and sometimes something meaty or crunchy. I was wondering if this might mean I am not eating enough or there is a certain thing in those foods I am not getting enough? Sometimes peanut butter quenches it well. I have increased activity to 2-3 times a week 9.0 incline for 40 minutes and 2-3 times a week 20-25 minutes at same incline. I am also now walking my dog again cause its not freezing for 35-45 minutes a day around 4-6 times a week could that be causing the extra appetite? someone told me maybe I should get a glucose meter and test myself that will be last option as test strips run kind of high.

Thanks for any and all help.

If you are re-gaining weight or struggling to lose it the best you can do is to count calories.

If you are struggling with hunger try to come up with practical solutions. Drink some water before meals and eat some salad before actually eating the main meal. That should help you keep fuller and not feeling too hungry.

Remember also to differentiate between cravings vs actual hunger. If you're hungry most food will sound appealing, but if you're craving something it's generally for an specific food item.

Another good thing you can do is to make a 'Instead of binging...' list.

Those are the tips that come to mind. Hope that helps.
