what's with the fish oils?

i just came across a forum about essential fatty acids and it was talking about using fish oil as a supplement to get these.

I know nothing about these whatsoever, so could somebody either give me a basic run through on what they are, where you get them from, why you need them, how much do you need etc? Or point me to a good link that explains it all well?

Are these things which are difficult to get from normal foods if people are using fish oil as an easy supplement?

scope this link out and you'll know just about all there is to know

thanks for that article.

so do I really need to worry about fatty acid supplements if I'm eating a small tin of tuna each day and chicken in the evenings as part of a stir fry?

no supplements are needed if you can supply some in a good meal plan. like it said

Cold water fish (salmon, herring, sardines, mackerel, albacore tuna, and trout are some of the main ones) and plants (flax and hemp) are the best sources of Omega-3s.

Some of the best fats to eat in addition to supplementation include soybean oil, almonds, extra virgin olive oil, and walnuts.
