Whats this white crap in my protein powder??

what the heck is this stuff? I got it in my Probolic-SR and Cytogainer. Even when I get done drinking the protein I can spit it out its so noticeable.

White Stuff

I have Cytogainer also, and I don't have that problem. I suggest taking it back for a refund. Or, it may just be checks of the power that didn't get mixed in, which happens to me all the time.

no that white crap is supposed to be in there.
you were right tho, thats exactly what it is. crap.

PLease never buy a weight gainer ever again. its basicly 1 part protien powder added to 2parts sugar.
the sugar is the carbohydrate that helps you put on weight. but if your not moving then it goes to fat.
weight gainer is just a con to make you buy more stuff you dont need, the compainies trick you into thinking it does something magic, but really its just sugar.

get a protien shake and have a choc spread sandwich. that way your getting some fast burning carbs, slow burning carbs and you can get 40g of protien from 2 scoops of powder rather than half a tub.

dont you just hate fillng up half a glass with gain powder? yuk!

Not ALL weight gainers are loaded with sugar. But, it is best to try and get more regular food, it's also a lot cheaper.

Hey settle down guys; I eat plenty of real food haha. I only use it for PW and since I have milk with all my meals, I just mix it with that for more cals protein and carbs.

yeah but you would benefit much more from having a real protien powder and an extra slice or two of bread. The protien content of weight gainers is so low, its not worth bothering with.

Cytogainer has 54 grams of protein which I dont think is low. And 7 grams of sugar, which I dont think is high. I dont see anything wrong with it

i've heard that ur body cna only absorb at most 30 g of protein at once. wouldn't 54 g b overkill

Joey - its diffrent for everyone, but its 30-40 for a regular guy.

Randy - I think we had this condversation about 6months ago.

Here is a basic weight gainer wit protien and a pure whey protien compaired. I take 25-35g of protien in a shake, this is plenty considering you get an extra 10g approx from the milk. i am compairing muximuscle, so you can double check the numbers on the website. please note that all powders are roughly the same, these are typical values and nothing special.

serving size
pp (pur protien) - 30g
wg (weight gainer) - 120g

cals
pp - 120cal
wg -453cal

fat -
pp - 2g
wg -10g

carbs
pp - 2g
wg - 62g

Protien
pp - 24g
wg - 32g

so you can see that with 1 serving or wg you get 8g more protien, but thats irrelivant as you could just add 9g or PP to get that number.

so your paying about the same price for both, but your using your WG 4times as fast and all your getting out of it is 60g of carbohydrate.

you can get 60g of carbohydrate from 2slices of bread and jam. Or a large cup of pasta. Its just a waste of money, I know i'd rather eat bread than drink 120g of powder.

Yeah your right. Thanks for putting things in perspective for me, because I never realy looked at how many grams were in a serving, just how much protein was in it.

Its a common mistake. Its the way they display the information. You'd never know unless you held them both down and used a calculator to work it out.

In that 6pac thread It seams as tho I was wrong. My argument stood up, but there was 1 factor a didnt take into account which was range of motion. Range of motion is how you effect the lower or upper abs unequally. Think it was Crazy Legs that pointed that out. Now thats a guy that knows his ship.
does J P Fittness still post here?

naw your body can absorb more than that, Think about it do you think those big pros are consuming only 30g's of protein per meal cmon now. The program that I follow has me consuming 60g on some meals.
