I know that not having a couple beers is better for my diet, however, we're tailgating at the football game this weekend and you all know what goes on at tailgates. I'm bringing a few salmon burgers to throw on the grill and rather than be stuck with whatever the other guys bring to drink I though I'd be proactive about bringing a "healthier" choice.

Bud Light? I've seen those commercials about Michelob Ultra having low calories and carbs. Any help would be appreciated.

Honestly, in my opinion, if you're going to drink beer, then drink REAL beer. Drinking light beer (for me) leaves me unsatisfied, really. Then I feel like I've wasted calories on something that was nothing more than flavored water.

If I decide I'm going to have a beer or a drink, I figure those calories into my daily plan and I enjoy the ever-livin'-heck outta them. For example, a bottle of Newcastle has 150 calories. A bottle of Guinness is 125 calories. I can fit 150 - 300 calories (2 bottles of beer) into my day with a little tweaking. It might mean eating my burger open faced or even w/out a bun ... but sometimes it's worth it to me. Otherwise, I'd rather just drink iced tea or water than drink light beer.

That's just my opinion, of course. :) Others may have different suggestions.

for taste i have had cobra lite quite a bit, not for the lite part of it, but just cause its the best beer that ive tasted

Well, in my opinion there is no such thing as good light beer.

I say, drink real beer, good beer, but drink less of it, and make room for it in your diet if you want to drink it.
