what's a good dosage of creatine to take?

I've read a bunch of things in the forum.

Is loading necessary? or is 3-5 grams a day sufficient enough?

no loading necessary. 5g a day is sufficient. best to take post workout. a 'carb delivery' system isn't needed.
plain monohydrate, preferably using CreaPure creatine.

anyone else have input on this?

No loading necessary. I personally think 3 grams is sufficient. Also, you can do a search on various topics at the top of this page ^^ You will probably get more input in the search because this topic has been covered a bunch of times

Funny I was researching Creatine few days ago just before ordering my next jar of Creatine.

One of the most striking thing that I noticed was :
"In the early 1990s, researchers found that the intake of carbohydrates (such as dextrose) with creatine promoted creatine storage beyond isolated creatine supplementation. (Stout et al. 1993) In fact, these studies suggest that the consumption of creatine with these high-glycemic sugars improves creatine storage by up to 60% on average."

So either mix carbs with Creatine or buy Creatine power with carbs mixed in it.
Last time I bought pure Creatine powder and this time I am going with carbs pre-mixed.

question.
Is this 5g or "creatine monohydrate" or 5g of the supplement.

On a tub of creatine, i see that a 60g scoop contains 5g creatine monohydrate. So that means take 60g?

What the heck is all the other crap in it. 5g creatine monohydrate....55g of what? is it useful?

i bought this about a yr ago and never used it because I injured my back and forgot about it. It says it doesn't expire till 2007. So i'm thinkin about gettin at it now.

I only started reading this forum not too long ago.
This is the product.

I realize now it's not pure creatine monohydrate.
Is there benefits to all the extra crap they throw into this mix.

I forget how much i paid. But if i paid 60 bucks for this. I really do think i got ripped off. lol since i only get 30 servings for this container.

Should i invest into pure creatine monohydrate after I'm done with this bs bucket?

this has dextrose and creatine. you're getting 5 grams of creatine and 49 grams of sugar with one serving. it isnt really that bad, alot of ppl use dextrose after training in their post-training shake. so you could just add some protein powder into this and use it then.

why's it cost like double of what creatine monohydrate goes for.

is sugar really that much more expensive lol

exactly. why is it TRIPLE of creatine monohydrate?

1000 grams of creatine monohydrate only is about 20 dollars. i guess they're going after the muscletech cell tech market.

yeh 900g of creatine monohydrate was tht much for me and i take 10gs a day five in the morning and five after evening training
