What to name my puppy...

I'm getting a puppy today.... :D

She's a female, 8 week old, Black and Tan Coonhound. (Think big floppy ears....)

I'm really excited, but...I had planned on getting a male dog and naming him Samsun.

So, now I need to think of a female name quick!! Any ideas??

Ooo! Puppy! We just got one a month ago, named her Morgan.

How about Elena? Valira, Fajra (means firey), Macey, Luthien, Arwen, Alqualossen (snow swan, dunno if that'd work with a coonhound ;))...ummm....Cameron, Amee, Fanny, Calistas...umm...oo! Or greek/roman/anykind/ mythology names!

The puppy we just got yesterday is Ruthie.

I say keep it simple or if you give her a big elaborate name, have a simple nick name (easy to call and easy to understand) and make sure it doesn't sound like any comands (ie. Ray & Stay).
 
Well, we got her yesterday....

We shot a few names around...decided on Maggie.

She just looked like a Maggie...it seems to suit her well.

Thanks for all of the help....I was actually going to name her Delilah at one point but my fiance didn't like it :mad:
 
I'm not sure...I thought the name was very cute.
Maybe he dated someone named that?? j/k :p

Who knows....but my puppy seems to respond to Maggie, so it all worked out!
 
That's a pretty name! I like it :)
