Sport What to eat before bed?

Sport Fitness
New to the forum, wanted to see if you guys and girls can help out. What should I eat before bed to lose fat? I found a great article online, but lost it! I know one thing was cottage cheese (not a big fan, but I can suck it up) low fat. But what else?

I am trying to lose my beer belly ( I don't have a huge one, but it is big compared to I went to state for track in the 100 and 200 meter dash 5 years ago! ) I am trying to lose the weight and gain my muscle back before summer. I am trying to go high protein low carb diet. (150-180 g of protein and 50-75 g of carbs a day) I noticed it is very hard to do the low carb diet! Also any ideas on that will help.

Thanks! & Happy training

You want to consume slow digesting foods such as fibrous carbs, casein protein, and even healthy fats. natural peanut butter,Cottage Cheese, and any type of vegetable is also perfect at this time.

Be aware that for a low carb diet, many green vegetables are considered as carbs and may be "banned" on the diet.

I'd be too worried about the state of my skin and hair to go cutting out veg but thats me.

Maybe a glass of warmed skimmed milk before bed? good as a mild relaxant and not too high in calorie.

Mmmmm casein protein. ...... delicious.... like just a whole cube of it... ha ha ha. Cottage cheese and fruit is good. Fruit can be high in sugar, but it's low GI so the sugars absorb slowly, decreasing your insulin spike and causing overall good health... plus all the other benefits of fruit. Casien protieins are the same. the clot in the stomach (ew) and release slowly into the blood stream.

I know most people on this board give low carbs a bad wrap. The interesting thing to me about low carbs eating is this:

1. Nearly everyone in North America eats WAY TOO MANY CARBS
2. People significantly underestimate just how much crap, simple-carb portions they eat (there's HFCS in crackers for f sakes)
3. People significantly overestimate how many of those crap carbs they cut out of their diet (i.e. beer, wine, and all the bloody corn derivatives you find in EVERYTHING)
4. Subsequently, even in "low carb" diets people eat too many carbs.

NOW, this is just my opinion (and I'm not suggesting you fall into the above stereotype) but I've seen this time and again. "I'm on a low carb diet" Right. No you're not. You're on a "lower carb diet".

I guess the point I'm making is that you need to be cognizant of the term low-carb and what it actually means in the confines of your diet. You have to know the figure before you say it's wrong or it's right.

those are all great foods!
