Hello, looking for help,I have tried everything in the book and can't seem to lose weight. I think it is so hard to lose weight when you doing it on your own .Whn losing a great amount of weight it take a great amount of support I think. I am getting so tired and sick of tring so hard with no results . i exercise with a trainer 5 days a week and on a diet plan and in 4 months I only loss 12 pound could there be something else wrong with me....Any advice is welcome .....Thanks:confused:

losing 12lbs is awesome! don't be so hard on yourself!

maybe the reason it seems like you have stopped losing weight is because you might have hit a plateau. so, that means you have to work extra hard to see results. it happens to everyone when they are dieting! don't give up.

ps. - i also want to lose around 40lbs...so you're not alone! ;)

I tend to retain water a lot and that alone is 2 kilos. Also, if I eat tomatoes, oranges, wheat or sugar amongst others I swell up like a balloon since I'm allergic to several foods.

My suggestion is to go have a blood test, check your hormones and your food allergies.

Might save a lot of unnecessary effort.

Good Luck, and hang in there,,

Sday~

Brambo, don't give up! the biggest thing with losing, is PERSISTANCE! It WILL pay! I agree with SSS and HB, it could be a plateau and you should consider a blood test. Also, if you eat a lot of white carbs or eat a lot of carbs at night - something to consider lessening (at night only b/c your body doesnt' need the energy then). Please feel free to PM me for other ideas or questions or just plain PM me if ya wanna talk :D

Thanks so much for all the good advice it was very helpful and encouraging. I will take everything into consideration. I have been thinking about going to the doctor to see if they could find the reason why I'm having such a hard time losing weight.....I won't give up thanks to all of you guys great support...Thanks

Welcome. You could just be gaining a lot of muscle if you have been doing any work with weights. 12lbs is great! It is better to loose it at a snails pace anyway. You are much more likely to keep it off.

Good Luck.
