What time of day do you train?

I work 5 days a week as I'm sure most of you do (or go to school/college) so, I was wondering how you fit your training into your every day routine - what works for you? Would you change it if you could etc?

Me, I hate going to the gym at 5pm because, by the time I arrive, its extremely busy. Every Tuesday, I leave work at 4pm which is great because I can get my weights out of the way and start my cardio before the hoards arrive at the gym. Saturdays I only work until 4pm and the gym never seems to be as busy at the weekends. Sundays and Mondays are my favourite days as I don't work so, can get to the gym about 10am when its quiet.

The one thing I cannot do is train just after I wake up as I will always choose to stay in my nice warm bed until the last possible moment- I'll never be one to do fasted cardio!!

Late at night, usually between 9 and 10 pm. I'm one of those people who gets tired rather than energized by a workout... I fall right to sleep afterwards, and get a great night's rest. Another side benefit: I always practically have the place to myself.

Nights for me too, although occassionally I'll go in the middle of the day or late afternoon because it works out better if I have stuff to do later

i being te night creature prefer to do my workouts in the night between 10 to 11:30, have dinner go to sleep

morning time is unreliable :D lazy as i am
generally my muscles are tight for the first hour after i wake up

I'm always in the gym around 5pm. That is my peak energy time. Plus it is before the post work rush which is perfect. You will never catch me in the gym at 6:30am...I do too find my bed way too comfortable to get up and workout...however I envy all who can (like LV). :)

I dont have a planned time, whenever i have anger, or feel really strong so i can get as much done as possible

When i get home from school and i've had something to eat etc. so usually start at about 4:30. Except twice a week i've had training for sport so i'd be in my gym at about 7:30 which sucked. Now that sport's finished i don't have to do that anymore.

i train whenever i get off of work. but in about a week my shift will always end at 4pm. so i plan to lift at 6pm from now on.

because my work schedule changes every week I cannot give a definite nswer. I do like training in the morning when I can, but sometimes it will be 10pm or 4am... changes all the time

I used to train VERY early in the morning. Cardio and weights at around 6am.

But now, it is usually between 4pm (right after school)

Depending on the days... But...
mondays; 9am
tuesdays / thursday; 3pm
wednesdays / fridays; noon

College student here; so it's either before classes, after classes, or in the middle some where =-).

I'm a night person, but I've recently started going to the gym at 6:30 or 7 in the morning... then go to school after that...(I'm still in HS so...) but I can get everything that I need to done in the day...so...its not that bad...

I go Wednesdays 530-630pm and Saturdays 1130-1230. Since I joined the gym around the corner from my house, I am gonna try for 6am. I wanna do yoga classes on Wed@6am and Spin Frid@6am. We'll see how it goes, hopefully they will call me for a job and I can get paid to work out.

After Work

I was an athlete in my younger days so just can't make myself get up for a workout before work after all those 2-a-days. BUT, if we lost power (we've had a lot of storms) I would go to the gym before work, for a shower at least (if not a steam, and it's hard to treat myself to that if I haven't earned it...)

The gym is right on my way home, so it's hard to NOT go! yeah, it's busy after work, but it's a big place so I can always find something to do.

Plus, the hoardes of people that joined at the beginning of the year have mostly quit coming ; )

Sometimes I go on the weekends because my body craves it, but I usually manage to take at least one day off.

I go at 5:30 AM, because when I get out of work I just want to go home and relax, plus, its alot less crowded at 5:30 AM.

If I dont get to the gym to start my day then I often find stress, family, etc. get in the way so I go at 4am (7 am on weekends as it is only 24 hours Mon-Fri) when I go to the gym near my home and 6am when I see my trainer in NYC.
