What should I do with what I have?

Hi all, I'm new here, and looking for some advice.

Currently in my house I have two 5 lb. hand weights and a large inflatable exercise ball. I really don't want to have a lot of equipment around (and especially no big machienery like treadmills and stuff), so I'm hoping I can do what I want with just these things, based on resistance.

My goal is to tone my upper arms and thighs, and flatten my stomach. My usual routine is:
- 100 sit-ups (50 lying on the floor with my legs on the ball, 50 lying on the ball with my feet on the floor)
- 50 leg-lifts on each leg (25 leaning on my side on the ball and raising my outer leg; 25 lying on my side on the floor with one leg on the ball, raising the leg on the floor)
- 50 arm curls on each arm with the weights (or 25 curls and 25 raising the weight straight out to the sides and then above my head)

Is this a good routine for what I'm trying to accomplish? Is there a different move I should do, or another piece of equipment I should try (I've been thinking of resistance bands)?

Thanks!

Maybe include some squats, lunge walks, push-ups, pull-ups (if you can anywhere). Just some other easy exercises you can do without equipment.

great start

Hey there,
I think you have a good start there. I am currently working on an interactive video blog that focuses on workouts that can be done with a stability ball, a mat, and a rope. I think your biceps/ab routine is good but if you strengthen your core and the rest of your body, it will be beneficial to your arms and stomach as well.
chest-db curls, pushups
triceps-dips, kickbacks, pushups
biceps-curls (front, hammer, and side)
shoulders-overhead press, side raises
legs-squats, lunges, dead lifts, calf raises

You may also want to try doing leg lifts with the ball and planks for your abs. All of these things can be done using a stability ball, a mat, and dumbells.

I hope this helps. Have a wonderful day!
