what muscles do pull ups work

You know that there are many good pull up bar in the market so they can help you to build muscles. but you will build muscle if you do regular at you home. pull ups definitely will help for grain muscles by doing.but some will be very portable to build your muscles not everyone. when you choice pull up bar you have to consider about this. you have to choice Spam Link Removed because if you don't find this then you may not get a huge benefit from pull up bar.

The basic Pullup targets the Latissimus Dorsi however they also work the following muscles in synergy


Brachialis
Brachioradialis
Biceps Brachii
Teres Major
Deltoid, Posterior
Infraspinatus
Teres Minor
Rhomboids
Levator Scapulae
Trapezius, Lower
Trapezius, Middle
Pectoralis Minor

and use the long head of the tricep for stability

Chinups (an easier exercise) (done with an underhanded grip) will also use Biceps Brachii as a stabilizer

having said that, many of the members here are not at a stage where they could complete a chinup or pullup and should start on an easier exercise.

lol... when i was in the best shape of my life, HS & College (i played varsity soccer/ lettered the last six years), i believe my personal best was 2 pull-ups!
 
i was at the Y yesterday and thinking about this post, i noticed a neat machine there that will let you do pull-ups, chin-ups and dips at less than body weight. wish those had been around when i was taking gym class.
