What is your opinion on this?

I found this video on bicep curls:

He isn't going through the entire range of motion, though it seems like most of the biceps contraction takes place in the first half of the motion, and judging by his physique, I'm inclined to believe he has an idea of what he's talking about.
I tried this, and I actually like it better than the "twisting dumbbell curls" I use, though what do you think of it? Do you think it'd work good without the full r.o.m.?

If I was going to do bicep curls I would probably do hammer curls tbh but yeah controlled is certainly better and it isn't using the shoulders which enables cheating. I'm not sure whether the rom makes much difference.
Regardless, I find rows and pull ups/chin ups far more effective to the extent that I never do curls.

Bicep curls are actually probably my least favorite exercise to do, though I do them anyways.
I like them better if I do them like this, I think they'd be okay to do for a while.

I actually don't remember hearing about that before, though I looked it up and it seems interesting, maybe I'll try it tonight.

yeah it's good because it works your back really good and you can normally lift a fair bit more than you can curl so it promotes more muscle growth. Also do pull ups (I always used to use a bar over the loft hatch, now i use a bar over builders trestles - which is also my squat stand) and you have both a horizontal and vertical pull in your workout.
