What is more fattening, 1600 cals. of keto foods or 1600 calories of high-carb foods?

I have a question about calories. I eat about 1600 calories to about 1800 calories a day in my ketogenic low carb diet. But I would like to some to try for some time a regular higher carb diet but with the same amount of calories about 1600-1800, while doing the same amount of exercises.

Do you think I would gain some weight if I try a 1600-1800 regular high-carb calorie a day diet?

Are you trying to gain or lose weight?

All forms of eating have pro's and cons however a calorie is a calorie, eat more than you need and you will gain weight, no matter the diet, however what you eat will have an effect on your health and body composition.

Hi all, thanks a lot for your reply. You are right different types of diets have different effects but like you guys said, a calorie is a calorie, no matter what

Keto can cause weight loss, because your metabolism is usually not so fast to gain calories from it, while carbohydrates are much faster transfered to your blood system.
Always cut carbohydrates and lower glucose index of your food to prolong digestion.

you seem to be under the impression that a low metabolism is good, this is very wrong. Also Keto does work but not in the way you think.

I am under any impression. I do not prefer keto diet. I just conclude that it is one the fastest way how to lose fat. I prefer low GI high protein diet focused on vegetables and fishes. It is slower than keto diet tho.
With keto you cheat your metabolism, that is your choice.

A ketogenic diet is a diet that is carb restricted to induce ketosis, allowing the bodies systems to make more use of fat for energy, it has no direct effect on the speed of your metabolism and is not restricted to people looking to loose weight. If it is not for you that is fine.
