Hi
I have been practicing yoga and following a diet plan for past 1 year. But i don't see any improvement. My weight is stuck at the same place.
I am feeling pretty discouraged since i am taunted for my weight and people around me don't appreciate my effort.

Hi Anu89 & welcome to the forum. It's hard to know how to help unless we know a little more about what your plan is, how much weight you need to lose etc. There is a lot of support to be found here, especially if you start a diary & share some of your story.

Think of a name for your diary, that you would like to keep, & consider that, as you lose weight, you will not want a negative heading & just make a start.
A diary is a really good place to make new friends, to put down how you feel, to vent, to share your thoughts & is a great place for others to visit you & offer support. Only share what you want to, but try to include your current diet plan.
re "the people around me don't appreciate my effort." Do this for yourself- for your health & well-being. That's what is really important. I hope to see your diary soon. Cheers, Cate.

Yoga is proved to not burn many calories (though it is great for you. :) ), as for the food problem , something is obviously wrong, so try counting calories and weighing your food. When I started I was surprised at how big my "small" portions were ;)

Really? That's strange, seeing as when I started to slim down, it wasn't until I tried yoga, and by then I'd almost completely dropped the gym.

Well it's good to see you're making an effort! Have you ever tried the gym though? I've lost 5lbs of water weight in just a few days, maybe your results won't be the same but some people just need harder exercise.

Try the treadmill to start if you're going to attempt the gym, it really helps with cardio. Good luck :)

I would recommend 2 things monitor what you eat and increase your activity level.

Are you burning more calories than what you put in?
Are you eating the right foods?

Like others have said try more cardio and increase the intensity of the exercise.

Hi...!
This is usually due to the unbalance of diet and yoga. You should change your diet plan and the way of yoga , would you like to tell your diet plan so that we may guide you in a better way .
