What is going on?

i have lost a lot of weight (65lbs) and now am at 120lbs. However, my stomach is still got a "pot belly" but u can see my ribs when i breathe. My boobs have decreased significantly in size and my chest measurements have also changed dramatically and yet my stomach still protrudes. I still have a little more fat to lose on my thighs and upper arms but more in my stomach (lower abs mostly). will my boobs and chest keep shrinking? I work out 5-6 days a week and eat about 1300-1400 calories a day. Idk if im doing something wrong but i want to finally get to that point where i can maintain my weight and size.
 
First of all, congrats on the weight loss. You must feel great about that and I'm sure you look great too. I personally think you should not lower your calories any more. That is low but probably not too low. I don't know what the math comes out to but depending on just how much you excercise that might be just right. Most likely you will not get your boobs back but you are smaller now so you probably still look just fine in that department. You might have some stubborn fat in the lower belly that will be difficult to get rid of but not impossible. Another girl was posting about that in another thread on this board. She thought she looked much worse than everyone else did. Some of the more experienced members here explained what it was and I think they basically said it was a stubborn fatty pocket. I'll see if I can find a link to that thread.

Do you lift weights? Have you lifted weights at all during your weight loss journey? If not, then that is EXACTLY what you probably need.

Well, boobies are made of fatty deposits, so the more fat you lose, the smaller they will get. But, big boobs suck anyway. More than a handful is too much.
 
i don't know how tall you are but your weight sounds fine.

what does your workout consist of ? is it just cardio or are you including weights ?

have you been working your abs and not working the muscles in your back ?
 
o.o I think I read that thread too Derrick.
What was generally agreed was that that little fat pocket under the belly is natural for women and therefore very hard to get rid of. It's probably easier to mask it by doing abs and weights..
 
my stomach is the last place i lose weight from...face, legs, arms, bust, then finally around my waist and it's the hardest to get rid of. everyone loses weight differently, so it's hard to determine if you'll lose it there or continue to lose weight in your chest.

i wouldn't call what i have a 'pot belly' but i know at times (like during my period or when i'm high on sodium), i feel extremely bloated. i do cardio, weight training, and lots of different ab movements to try to get rid of it...but it sticks. i'll live with it i guess. but i do watch my sodium intake so i don't get so bloated. i don't think other people even take notice of it either way, but i do.

=) I tend to loose weight at the waist too. No what I meant was that there's always some curves to your belly that's natural, if you look at statues, paintings, it tends to be a little round under the belly button? not sure tho.. agh cant find the thread..
