Sport what is a cheap grocery store?

Sport Fitness
i plan on buying alot of good stuff soon, and these are well known stores that are local to me

nob hill
whole foods
safeway
wal mart (or k mart, cant remember)

out of these, do any of you know which would have the lowest prices?

Whole foods is definitely not cheap, but you may want to get a few select items there that you can't get anywhere else. Safeway is cheap as is Walmart. I'm weird, I go to several different places for different things (Meijer, Costco, Wal Mart, and Wild Oats (now bought out by Whole Foods) Meijer is great for a lot of things, but I think it's very regional. Only Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and maybe a couple others. I'm going to miss the hell out of it when I move.

Trader Joe's has some stuff that is inexpensive.

Grocery stores catering to immigrants from Asia (e.g. ) may have a larger and different selection of vegetables, fish, and tofu than most other grocery stores. They also have various types of whole grain rice (black and red as well as brown) if you are into that.

Whole Foods is often expensive, but if you are looking for bulk lentils or something like that, you can get it there.

Meijer is headquartered in Michigan baby. :D

I definitely miss the Meijer. Publix and the Piggly Wiggly are just not the same.

We shop at the Piggly Wiggly. It is fun to say and they have a good meat department.

We go to a store called "restaurant depot" Everytime we go there we stock up on meat. Buy atleast 50-60lbs of meat for like 1.99/lb

around here in So-Cal we have a grocery store chain called Food 4 Less that often has great deals
and then there are some random Mexican grocery stores that have great sales

Sam's = bulk Walmart, but I think he meant that he found out it was a Cosco near him.

Costco is similar to Sam's Club... everything in Bulk.

I was in Indianapolis for a week a while back.. I wish we had Meijer!

why not taking a day to browse the local stores and see who has the best prices?

of course.. men are probably not into that sort of thing..

Lucky for me there are three bulk warehose stores in my area, Costco, BJ's and Sam's. so I can pick and chose.

For fresh type foods I like the Fresh Market.
