What do you prefer XC or Track

If i'm going for a pb then track due to the obvious time advantages. For races and regular training (apart from interval) then cross country, i just love the countryside, the hills and a change of scenery whereas track can be rather monotonous! How about yourself?
 
XC for the win. Where I'm at all the local tracks are paved, but there's a golf course with a nice, meandering dirt track looping around it nearby. Maybe 1/2 mile run uphill to get there, and then I'm good to go. Less pounding on the legs, lots of fellow runners passing by, and iPod safe.
