I always liked the group work out thing if everyone is on fairly familiar terms and is at the same general fitness level. Its hard to get that outside the military though, so I usually just do solo gym circuits.
The classes seem to go faster for me time-wise. Yes, there can be a little more motivation if you have the right people in the class.
The weight room allows me to work at my own pace and cover the exercises *I* want to do.
Although some classes are supposed to be weight-oriented, I find that many are cardio, so I suppliment by going to the weightroom. I also like to do HIIT and other interval training on the machines, so that takes me out of class and into the weight room.
I say do whatever you are in the mood for on a particular day.
well said its different in the uk most people who train in gyms prefer classwork training. i donk know why these trainers dont do both over here because the gym i work in most of them dont push themselves as much as they should do.
i dont mean to slag us brits off but its true. at least 70% of trainers in the uk who train in gyms dont reach there goals.
casual trainers cant change the way there bodys look, they condition them to stay the same..
THANKS GUYS.
Cant stand having some faggot PT "pep talk" me and ****. Only upside with those classes is the 10 to 1 girl-boy ratio. (wonder why the boys are always in the back row )
Its all cardio too, even if its called body pump and they use barbells.
i do a combo of both...but i tell you the women in some of the classes, like boot camp, could kick a whole lotta arses...youd be suprised lb for lb how fit these women are.
