Hey guys I'm new here.

I have a question (of course) about my weight loss program that I've organized on my own. Everyday I work out 25 minutes on my recumbent bike but today I worked out for 15 minutes. I've been eating fruits, cereal, smoked ham, vegetables, bread... etc. So far I've lost 1 pound and it's been about 7 days since I've started on my program.

Do you support this program or do you think I should improve on somethings?

I am trying to lose 20 pounds or near there. :waving:

It's impossible to say. The only thing that really matters for weight loss is calories in VS. calories out. In other words, are you burning more calories than what you're consuming? If yes, then yes your program should be fine unless you're cutting your calories too low. If you're NOT in a caloric deficit, then your plan will not work.

How old are you?
How tall are you?
How much do you weigh?
Are you keeping track of your calories? If yes, explain.

Heya Nol,

I'm 21 (asian female), 5'2 and I weigh 130. Yes and No to calorie tracking, I usually just stock up on 'healthy' choices and try to moderate my eating. I don't stuff myself nor starve. I eat until I'm okay.

If I would give you a summary of what I ate today, this would be it:

Breakfast: Cereal with low fat milk.
Snack: Oranges
Lunch: Sandwich (smoked ham, lettuce and light mayo)
Snack: Grapes
and for dinner I'm thinking about fish (olive oil, salt and pepper) and rice.

Not as hard as you think... broccoli and carrots are excellent sources. Snack on them.

I don't recall saying it was hard in the way you expressed it.

It was an isolated response in forgetting about my vegetables, because I was centralizing proteins and carbs. Also, I hate going to the market but one must anyway.

So far this week I lost one pound(and the scale has been slightly teetering below its current position) and I'm assuming that's 'safe' and 'normal'.... am I correct? I hope so. I still am a little lost in all this. I get insecure if what I'm doing is enough.

I guess I am being a little impatient... heh, I feel like I'm going to stay the same forever since I've been the same proportion since middle school.

If your weight is trending downward over time, and that is your goal.... then you're doing fine.

I must have mistranslated the non-vague "Ugh", won't happen again.

once you add the veggies as Steve said, your nutrition should be ok, but for exercise are you doing any weight training?
