Sport what can I substitute for rice?

Sport Fitness
I eat lots of stir-fry type food (vegetables and chicken), but I think I'm having too much rice. Is it ok to just have that meal as it is without rice? If so, what can I have as a side? More vegetables?

More veggies would for sure be a good alternative, or even just cut back on the ride and make it brown rice. You've got to watch out for the sugars that are usually in the sauces used to make stir fry, along with VERY high sodium.

I only eat brown rice, but I heard too much of that can be bad for you as well. My only question with veggies was that, I'm having veggies with my stir-fry, so as I side with more veggies, this wouldn't be a problem? As for stir-fry I understand about sodium in condiments and stir-fry sauces, I only get a low-sodium stir-fry sauce.

rice is a carb...so its not bad for you, but you do have to count it towards your daily carb/calorie intake.

when cutting, meat + veggie stir frys are excellent for avoiding carbs but feeling full.

Agreed, I made a cooked tomato/red and yellow pepper/onion and garlic mix with chicken last night that was amazing.

And the cool thing is, the tomatoes are a sauce of there own so no salty alternative sauce is needed. Just some basil, oregano, and rosemary, wowwwww.
