Okay, My diet is so messed up and I have NO idea what to do!

Here is my diet:

Breakfast - None. I am in HS and I get up at 6:15 already, I would have to get up at about 5:15 to eat and then I would NEVER get through classes. Besides, for some reason whenever I eat early in the morning my stomach hurts really bad all day and I get nautious.

Lunch: Whatever the school serves with a Minute Maid Light Lemonaid (5 calories.)

Dinner: It really depends, but a good example would be a shake-n-baked pork steak or a grilled chicken breast w/ garlic mashed potatoes and green beans.


We don't have very much money at all, so I kind of have to go on what we can get cheap at Wal-Mart. I don't get a lot of fruit (I LOVE fruit though!) because berries are like 3.50 for 1 cup, grapes and strawberrys are always really sour, and the banana's are green.

Whenever I eat breat it is whole wheat.

I am lactose intolerant so I don't eat a whole lot of dairy, but I do eat some. (They make pills you can take so you don't get the bad symptoms.)

Why do you need to get up an hour earlier to make breakfast? :S

Breakfast takes like, 10 minutes to prepare. I think you are in High School? If you can't eat at 6am why don't you take it to school and eat it before class?

MOST people have to get up early, that is no way an excuse to miss breakfast.

Instant oatmeal, toast, cereal with milk, fruit and yoghurt are all easy choices that seriously take 3 minutes to make - not an hour.

When you consider the price of other foods, fruit is not that expensive. If you buy a bag of apples they are great for snacks and you should really be aiming for 2 servings of fruit per day and 5 vegetables.

You really need to incorporate more food into your diet. You are hardly eating anything.

To actually set down and eat would take me 30mins +. I am an incredibly slow eater and then the food makes me feel sick all day.

We aren't allowed to eat in the hallways at school.

It takes you 30minutes + to eat a bowl of cereal? hmmm sounds like your just making excuses.

Do you have a school cafeteria? Can you eat outside? What about just taking a breakfast bar?

Again. Your making excuses. Maybe you don't really want this?
 
If you have to get up earlier just to eat, even thought you really shouldn't as there are tons of fast breakfast choices, just go to bed earlier.
 
Yeah I see excuses. I get up at 515 a, every morning and I have time to eat even if its a protein bar. Excuses are usually just ways that you make your self not do what you really do not want to do.
 
Give her a break! She's in high school. High school, which comes with a a lot of pressures, especially for girls and the way they present themselves. So she spends a fair bit of time getting ready. The way she looks for the day could quite possibly help her cope and feel good about herself.

Anyway, for breakfast what about a cup of soup that you can drink really fast? Or some sort of protein shake you can make the night before and have ready to go in the fridge. This way you could just skull it fast or sip it in between doing your makeup and hair.

Replace all drinks with water. And try adding raw veges to your diet, soups and salads with lean meats.

Hope that is a bit more constructive.
