I lost 20 pounds after childbirth but still overweight. I want to loose 14 more pounds which i'm doing with a low calorie diet and some aerobics and strength training although i fall off the wagon sometimes. My problem is, my tummy is still soft and big after two kids, im not seeing more progress as i'm seeing with the rest of my body. What can i do pls.

Can you give us some more details of what your diet and exercise looks like?

My diet consist mostly of a jug of tea with skimmed milk and a slice or two of wheat bread with one egg white for breakfast, a 60 calorie biscuit or fruit for snack, my carbohydrate meal for lunch and mixed veges with fish or just grilled tilapia for lunch. I like finishing my kids meal sometimes too. My exercise routine is 30 minutes jogging or 20 minutes dance aerobics or sometimes at most 20 minutes stairs climbing with body strength training in-between and some ABs exercise. My problem is when i over indulge i eat anything that crosses my path :blush5: which is not often. But i leave in Ghana where our meals are mostly carbs.

Well, a lot of it will probably have to do with eating too many calories overall. I would definitely make sure that you are focusing on strengthening exercises for the whole body. Try to make sure you are doing these exercises 3 times per week, about 30 minutes each time if possible.

How long has it been since you had your second child?

It can definitely take a while to get your body back after having a baby and can sometimes get harder with each one. As I said before, doing strengthening exercises for the whole body should start to help you look and feel more toned. Also, even though your diet is mainly carbohydrate, is there any way that you can pair some of that carbohydrate with even a small amount of protein? The protein can help keep you feeling full for longer, so that you're less likely to snack unnecessarily or overeat at your next meal.
