Sport What a fool I was

Sport Fitness
When I revamped my diet about a year ago I also eliminated coffee/caffeine. I have realized that I really do feel better if I give in and drink it.

I have been really tired lately and dragging ass during workouts and I thought "what's wrong with me?" I used to be a machine and always was up for a workout. I would even get up and do cardio before going on bike rides with my wife.
I realized that that was when I drank my coffee in the morning and was ready to go.

I got some turbocharged starbucks verona to make at home and now I'm getting up at the crack of dawn again to rock it out.

Dark master, I'm sorry I forsook you for so long...I'm back!:D

so you need it and cant perform well without it?
seems like it hurt you more than helped imo
but as long as your doing well, and feeling better, why not? hope your ok in the long run.
cheers~

Yeah, I never understood why some people thought coffee was the devil. I mean, as long as you don't drink a ton, what's the biggie? I have it on the days I work, can't beat it to start the day.

I have a strong 12 oz cup in the morning and sometimes another in the afternoon

...and where the hell have you been, MMW??

Coffee: Explains why I am all spazzed all the time!

I like being spazzed baby on diet and fitness!

And, want everyone to get spazzed on themselves!

= Cool. :)

I drink a pot (sometimes more of coffee) per day. Of the many things I have changed in my life the past nearly two and half years, this would probably rank as the only thing I didnt change----->other than the items that go into coffee.

My mother in-law is 80, is 50 pounds or more over weight (5" 5", 185 pounds) eats like a pig (and grunts like one too, and this isnt demeaning, its the truth) and is totally possessed by food. I swear I do not see her in the house without some type of food stuffed in her mouth. She can eat 5 bags of "refined white sugar based" rice cakes in one day, eats a ton of hydrogenated oil based Oatmeal cookies every day, and sometimes spreads hydrogenated oil (and refined white sugar based) peanut butter on top of them---despite our objections and alternative suggestions.

She is a human refined white sugar factory.

She takes one heart pill (other than this the doctor advises her to take a multi-vitamin, fish and flax oils, and is as VERY HEALTHY 80 year old). She has NEVER exercised other than the remote on the television and the seat of her pants---(post raising her children), and is one bizzare woman IMO.

I am thinking of making a post to the COL about my experiences with her, its both amusing and disturbing at the same time.

And, just like her husband, whom I physically took care of, I will likewise, take care of her when her physical capabilities diminish.

I need to mention she is also a VERY HEAVY Black tea drinker

And, the one that did do physical labor, and in the army for 22 1/2 years (and ate reletively healthy), died at the near average age of 76.

And, he was a VERY HEAVY coffee drinker.

Gender maybe. I dont know.

But.

My point is:

In the end, it just boils down how are body processes the things we eat and do, and not everyone is the same--obviously.

And, for those brotha and sista's trying to lose a few pounds of fat tissue, remember this:

Do not FRIGHT the Almighty Calorie is pretty damn TIGHT in the Fat Loss FIGHT.

Therefore, be the QUITE-RIOT in the DEFICIT DIET!

Spread PEACE, JOY, and HAPPINESS, to all on the forum.........

Best regards,

Chillen

Haha, I've been around. Just haven't had much time for posting lately. This quarter at school is almost ending, so it's ultra hectic, and work is so busy I don't have much surfing time. But I'm alive and still bustin it out in the ol gymnasio.

I'm making an attempt to follow a diet that does not allow for any caffeinated beverages. It's not a problem since I don't really like that jittery feeling. It's apparently supposed to spike serotonin levels which is supposed to put a damper on libido. This diet, which calls for high doses of fish oil and dark chocolate is supposed to increase dopamine levels and in turn increase the drive to, well, you know...

What I've noticed is an all around good feeling that doesn't leave me jittery or drowsy, just happy. But apparently, if your libido is too high for some reason, you can lower it by consuming caffeine.

LOL, maybe my wife will appreciate it then.

I quit caffiene and I feel alot better cause of it. Sometimes I still miss that first cup of coffee in the morning. God that would feel so good to be tired and get that liquid energy poored into you. In the end though it affected me in a lot of negatives ways. Made me had to pee alot, feel jittery, feel dehydrated/cotton mouth, and made it harder for me to fall asleep at night.

But yeah, different people are all affected differently. If I didn't get the negative effects of it I would probably still be drinking it.

coffee coffee coffee

Coffee and Beer are the two things I will never give up... :beerchug:

I drink 2 large cups every day, sometimes three... but on the days I have three I really feel it so I try to stick to two...

One thing I did a long time ago was switch to milk instead of cream to cut out some of the fat... after a few days I did not miss the cream at all and now I can't stand cream in my coffee...

Also, some studies say that daily caffeine intake can slow onset of Alzheimer's... so that is a positive, if you believe those studies that is...
