Hi

I have been overweight since I was around 11 and now I am 19 and I was pretty bad.. I was around 18 stone 7 pounds at one stage and now I am down to 16 stone 10 but my weight lose has stopped and I am still doing what I done to lose weight... I have lost my weight in around a 2 months and it is staying off but the rest refuses to go.

I used to eat a sickenly amount of fatty foods and always on fizzy drinks and NEVER going out but I stopped all the food and drink and am starting to go out more but my weight is still the same for the past 2 weeks and its annoying, I am thin enough to get by but I want it ALL OFF.

My diet is now brown bread, lettuce, tomato, mayonaise, turkey/chicken/roast beef and egg and this is what got the weight off me.

As you can see from my sig I have abit to go and would like to know why my weight lose just suddenely stopped.

Cheers

Jonjo: The body is very...very smart. It has adjusted to your new routine...so you need to shake things up a bit. Exercise a little bit more, do some weights, change your diet a little bit--eat a little bit more one day, a little less the next...keep your body in a constant state so that it continues to work for you and not get used to your new way of doing things.

It happens to all of us, there is nothing wrong with you. Shake it up this week and we'll see some good results!

if I shake it up will I have to stick to the new "shake up" routine or can I fool my body back into weight loss mode and continue on with my current one?

I'd say stick with it for maybe two weeks and then shake it up again.

I guess the idea is to never let your body get into a routine.
