Well its about time

I created an account awhile ago and now I guess I should say hello.

I'm old, over half a century, getting over injuries (Knees and hip) and looking to get rid of the weight gain that came with the sedentary lifestyle I was forced into for so long.

I'm 6'1" and I got to 270lbs, got a eating program that is big on vegetables and I am now down to 240. I don't like the word Diet because the first 3 letters spell die...so I don't diet :)

I was at 236 but got another injury, got a bit depressed and let it all go for a bit, got back up to 245. Back on track eating right and exercising.

I have a lot to learn and I hope logging in will help me keep on track as well as teach this old dog a thing or two.

Exercises I am doing: Yoga, Taijiquan, TotalGym and I am thinking about animal based movements I recently was re-introduced to,..use to do many of them when I was a kid
