Weightloss jumpstart?

So I have been reading on this site alot about people who do these programs, whether it be a certain type of shake they have to drink everyday to only eating fruits and veggies for so many days, and say it helps them jump start their diet.

I am just curious if they really work, and if you are able to keep the weight off that you lost durring the fasting period.

If so I would be interested in finding out more about one and something could help me not only jump start my weightloss (or atleast get me out of this slump I am in) and help me detox my body.

No matter what, weightloss is an issue of calories in vs calories out. It's very basic.

I think the tricky part is learning how many calories in are needed to maintain vs. lose in a healthy, sustainable way.

Any restriction diet, does one thing, restricts calories and yes, you can lose weight - but that doesn't mean it won't be gained back as soon as you begin eating normally again.

Keeping your calories between 10-12 per pound of body weight with increased activity would be a sensible and sustainable approach :)

BTW, Kuddos to you for losing 55 pounds! That is FANTASTIC!
