Weight-loss

I'm 17 years old, and I weigh around 190 pounds with the height of 5"7/8 I need to lose weight, badly.

I've never really eat "healthy", apart from the occasional salad or something.
I'm an apprentice for vehicle maintenance, so I only get one chance to eat from 9AM to 4PM.
I used to have an English breakfast (In a box like this,) which included: Bacon, Sausage, Beans, Black Pudding, Hash Brown and one piece of toast.

However, I've changed that. I now have a salad baguette of some sort, a KitKat and an Oasis (Summer fruits drink).
When I get home, I have a Muller Toffee yoghurt, and maybe a sandwich (or tea, which is usually full of fat, or a take out).

I don't know much about dieting or loosing wait, but I don't have access to a gym so I've been doing a bit of exercising in my room. I do: 35 squats, 35 situps, 35 heal crunches, 35 pushups (But facing the wall, for your arm muscles), 35 hip swings and maybe 15 normal pushups.

I'm not sure what to eat and what-not to eat.

Any advice is appreciated.

Cardio workouts are very important for burning fat. Start running with the workout you do now. Try not to do the same workout everyday because your body will get used to it. I know you said you only have a chance to eat twice a day and thats a big factor as to why you're not losing weight. You need to at least have a few snacks throughout the day to keep your metabolism going. Otherwise, your body's holding on the everything you have for those 2 meals (which need to be healthier for you to drop weight). Have fruit in the morning and throughout the day and have vegetables at night. Try doing poultry (chicken, turkey, etc.) for meat. Do your best to keep a calorie count (should be somewhere between 1600 to 2000 a day).

Daily? Hmm, lately I either have a bowl of cereal in the morning, then just before midday I'll have a baguette (Or a jacket potato I've had lately) then when I get home a normal meal.

What do you say I should take as a snack? Fruit?

Is cornflakes good for a breakfast?

I'm back! I thought I was loosing weight with work and things - I did lose a bit but I'm slowly putting it back on.

I need a weekly food plan I think, but I'm not sure how I'd go for it.

Ok, so some of the advice above is good advice. You are only one snack away from being able to achieve this. Eat a healthy breakfast before you start work. Eggs are ok, try 3 eggs with only one yolk and some fruit. or toast with a little peanut butter and honey and slices of banana on top is one of my favorites. Then have lunch about 12:00pm. A ham or turkey sandwich with mustard,no chips, if you need something crunchy try carrots and celery. No the hard part you need to to have a small snack between 2pm and 3pm. This can be as simple as 1 to 1.5 oz's of nuts or some fruit or veggies. Then a healthy dinner of chicken, turkey or pork. Stay away from high fat processed foods. You can even have a small snack like some non fat greek yogurt before bed. If you stay on a schedule like this and add in the exercise you will be surprised at the difference it makes. Its really not that difficult it just takes a little pre planning. Good Luck.

OK, I wanted to start yesterday. But my parents bought a chinese in the night, so I had to have that. But I've told them, I'm stopping have foods like that.

Today, I had a Tuna and Mayo baguette, an an Oasis drink (http://www.coca-cola.co.uk/brands/oasis.html). It did come with a Twix, but I only had half, but I'm not planning on having even a part of one next time.

It was also in brown bread.

Tonight I've had some salad (spring onion, lettice, ham, pork, grated carrot, sweetcorn, cheese and boiled potatoes).

How would you say I'm doing? I think I am going to get some Kiwi fruit for in the mornings. I've still got my little workout left which I'll do very soon.

How is an Oasis? Is it good for you or what?

Well, that is definantley an improvment. Tuna is great but try and stay away for reg mayo though. It is full of fat with not much else in nutrutional value. Try a low fat or non fat version if you have to have it. The oasis looks ok but water would be your best bet to stay away from the extra suger. When having salads make sure you watch what dressing you put on. Oil and viniger is best but a low fat or non fat dressing is ok too. Kiwi is good for breakfast but try to have a egg or greek yougurt with it. Something with some protien first thing in the morning. Try and mix in some healthy snacks and you are good. Good Luck.

I normally have a ham salad baguette, but I had no ham left. OK, I'll get water from now on. We have a small amount of vinegar, which we mix with our cucumber.

Thank you.

190 pounds weight is too much….it’s necessary for you to change your daily eating schedule. In ur breakfast, it is good to take orange juice, fat-free milk and hot breakfast burrito along with scrambled egg, salsa, black beans and tortilla. You should take ¾ cup of baked potato wedges and whole grain bread with chicken or roast beef, lettuce, mushrooms, mustard and part-skim mozzarella in your lunch. In dinner, it is good to take broccoli, fat-free milk, rice, broiled salmon and slivered almonds.

There are lots of different ideas about the weight loss.

Weight exercises and cardiovascular exercises are also beneficial to you with the above food schedule.

Hello,

I also think that if you need to lose weight very seriously and in a short time you should lead a healthy lifestyle and do lots of exercises. A great advice is to DRINK AS MUCH WATER AS YOU CAN. Eat fruits and veggies instead of meat.
