So i was wondering people's ideas about weight loss pills and supplements.

Every morning and afternoon a take a pill called " Lipo 6", they are liquid pills designed to help with the fat burn process.

I was wondering if anyone else uses them or any other pill. I like the idea of having an accelerant in addition to diet/exercise but im not very 'in the know' about whether or not its worth it

So has lipo 6 worked for anyone?

If fat-burning pills actually worked, most people would be skinny.

Unfortunately there is just no such thing as a miracle drug. As tempting as it is to believe that we could speed up, or accelerate, our metabolisms with a pill, it's just not going to happen. The people that claim to get results from these products are not only paid to be endorsers usually, they're also on rigorous diet and exercise programs. Of course they're going to lose weight! I say skip em and go the old fashioned way.

well im not hoping for a miracle drug or quick fix. Just something that may aid slightly in the weight loss and make me feel better.

Ive heard they help with energy levels during dieting which is a good thing if its true. Often when i diet i lose energy and feel tired in the gym, ive noticed that issint the case anymore and i feel better about on them. When i take them i feel a burn/weird sensation in my tummy.... is them doing something?

If you're losing energy when you're dieting it's because you aren't eating enough - up your calories to make sure you're getting enough nutrition and energy... diet pills are generally just some form of caffeine so it's not the greatest energy you're getting...

aaah ok. I'll try incorporate some more cals then.

My average daily calories falls between 1650 and 1850. I find if i eat less i'm hungry and if i go over 1800 i often feel ill and bloated. IS around 1700 cals ok do you think?

there's a stickied thread in the nutrition forum that contains a link to a formula that you can use to calculate how many calories you should be getting in a day - it incorporates your age, height, weight and activity level.. you m ight have to play with them a little bit but it should give you a good range to shoot for.

Lot of doctors in the forum!

Its great when you get some concrete information. Everyone has an opinion! Kathy:rotflmao:
