Sport weight loss questions

I weigh about 160 and i am 5'7, I want to be 140/145 by May 2006 , basically 7 months, how many calories a day should i be eating and how long should my cardio each day be??? too loose weight..... please get back anyone who knows!!

you can lose that weight even sooner if you do cardio workouts at least 3 times a week for 45 minutes. I workout with wieghts so i only do cardio for 30 minutes after my workout everyday and i used to be 165 only 2 months ago right now im 145, but i have also gained a lot of muscle from working out u know, do whats right for you, i find the stairmaster and treadmill the best cardio workouts, but you can order a tape and use that as long as u keep your heart rate up and burn them calories you'll be fine.
 
Along with a good exercise program it is also important to look at your diet. You don't necessarily need to cut a lot of calories, just watch where you are getting your calories. Cut down on sugars and fats and eat more chicken, fruits, and veges.

It's more than just cardio. I was your height/weight 6 months ago. I'm 115 now, and have never been in better shape in my life. I did it with the help of a doctor and his web site.
