Spedavel, congrats on the progress you have already made! It is tough to stay motivated so I hope that being on this forum will help to keep your spirits up and reach your goal!
I wonder if you are familiar with doing the exercises that you mentioned in your post? It's obvious you know how to lose weight since you have already done a fantastic job! What led you off your original trail?
I have done a weight loss program that I actually lost about a lb a day. I have to say, it didn't feel good and after 2 years gaining it all back I decided the 'normal' way is the way to go.
The biggest tips I can give you are from my personal experience, so I hope it helps.
- WATER. Drink it as often and as much as you can a day. There is online calculators that will give you an idea of how much water you need to help you lose weight.
- Find an exercise that you enjoy and will look forward to doing everyday. For me this is walking or rollerblading. I HATE the gym and I HATE running. I will tough out one or two days with weights because it's important to weight loss but cardio is going to be just as important. Walking is easy and effective when you are just starting out. Within a couple of weeks you will get creative and more motivated to increase your activity.
- Your diet should consist of WATER and I recommend sticking with lean meats, vegetables, low cal/sugar fruits, limit your carbs, sugars and fat. I also recommend allowing at least 2 meals a week to your favorite foods that you make healthier. For me, this is pizza and chipolte burrito bowls. I can have a personal pizza if I want. I load it with veges and a healthy meat (chicken).
- Before you do anything take a hard look at your weekly patterns and give your self some tough love about areas you might be weak in. For me, besides the fact that none of my clothes fit and I felt disgusting, I realized that I go to bed late, that I wake up late, that I didn't care about how I dressed or looked. Loving myself is and will be my biggest challenge. But knowing there is a problem has helped me push further.
