Weight loss can be a lonely journey...

Hi hi friends - I have been trying to lose weight since February 2016. I am not doing terribly well - have only managed to lose 3 kgs in that time. I have good days when I eat about 1200 cals and I have days when I overeat - particularly when I am eating out with friends or when I travel.

The other thing I grapple with is that I am doing this on my own. Amongst my family and friends - no one is looking to lose weight. Even the overweight ones have somehow accepted their weight and don't want to make the effort.

I really would like to get into an active group for mutual support and accountability. Give me a shout if that's something you would like to do.

Hi Eva,

I understand your feeling. To lose weight you must undergo process that can help you successful. I think you can do it. You know to maintain a good weight and good health, everyone want but it is important who will go to the end of the process and do it?. I have 2 children and everyone looked at me to say why I still keep the weight as the unmarried. I simply know how to eat on time, drink plenty of water and physical and especially mental keep always positive and happy.

I really wish you get good weight and succeed!

Warmly,

Don't be frustrated! There are a lot of us in fact, try to search some communities in your town devoted to this problem :)

3 kg is still something. It's better to loose the weight slowly than fast, cause if you'll loose it fast, you'll most likely regain it quicker.
However, I would be worried about overeating episodes. I've struggled with bulimia nervosa myself and that's a very nasty disorder. Maybe you need to eat more or to make sure you get enough of nutrition with your food? Don't forget the emotional and psychological factor. Maybe the thoughts that once you gone off the road on this meal lead you to overeating? Track yourself and find some support in the forum if no one from your friends will be very helpful.
Goodluck :)
