Dear friends, I was able to lose 6 kgs in just 5 days by water fasting. This not only provides you with a good launching pad for future weight loss through diet and exercise, but also helps in cleansing / detoxing your body. Here is the video which has the details of each of the five days of my water fasting....Spam Link Removed

i have got to imagine fasting in a diabetic state is much more of a concern than you seem to believe. this likely had a lot to do with the fatigue you felt past your third day. i am currently in the 65th hour of a multi-day fast, but i have much more confidence in my normal functioning liver and pancreas. i hope you seek a doctor's advice if you attempt anything more radical with your nutrition.

Overlandflyer sir, I felt horrible, weak and extremely hungry during the first two days. From the third day onwards it was much better. I guess the process of ketosis [burning of fat stored in the body in the absence of carbohydrate intake] set in. And I had googled, youtubed a lot of water fasting videos before I ventured on this. At the end of the program , I felt much better mentally and physically, albeit a lot weaker. But you are right about the fact that people with diabetes or any other health issues for that matter should consult their physician/doctor before embarking on a water fast.

i am close to the end of my 3rd day of an indeterminate length (right now) fast so that added to my curiousity about your video log. i eased into it much differently, though. for the past 4 months i have been on an intermittent fast, usually 4/20 daily (4 hour eating window), so i was much more used to long non-eating spells. i also tried a single day fast about a week ago just to experience that. so basically i have felt no hunger or other metabolic changes yet. in fact this morning was a rather typical morning before the realization of not eating for about 60 hours set in.

i could recommend the lectures by Dr Jason Fung to explain the feeling of increased energy after fasting for 24+ hours. with intermittent fasting some of these processes come into play in just 12-14 hours. any sort of fasting is quite natural and greatly more effective for weight loss than calorie restricted diets.

good luck.

I would recommend talking to your doctor before doing a water fast, especially if you are on any sort of medication. My BP has settled down again after doing IF & I was only doing 16:8, not water fasting. My blood pressure was all over the place.
Be careful.

This is inspirational. I approve.
