OK, this is gonna sound funny, but I have found a great way to lose weight!
LOL Get a dog that needs to be walked 2-3 miles a day or he drives you nuts!
For the last year I have had "good intentions" about exercising, but rarely got around to it. A few weeks ago I was given the gift of a 5 yr old Min Pin. He is fantastic, but Min Pins are high energy dogs. For the first 3 weeks, I walked him every day and we got along great. Then, starting last Thursday, I made up excuses not to.
"Its raining, I will wait."
"Oh, I need to run to the store, maybe later."
I had a boatload of excuses! Then, yesterday, he started to drive me nuts. He would not sit still for longer than a nano-second. By 7PM I was about to pull my hair out when I thought about exercising him to exhaustion.
Well, I think I got more exhausted than he did, but it did the trick - both for him and me LOL.
Added to that is that in the 3 weeks I walked with him, I lost 6 pounds!. (I need to keep that in mind!)
Well, I don't know if it would work for you (LOL), but if you have a high energy dog, they can definitely be a motivating factor for exercise
