Afternoon!

Basically, i'm going on holiday in 8 weeks and entered a bet with my mate a few months ago to get down to 210 lb's for the holiday.

Jjust looking for any advice/tips on excercises/food plans etc. that will help me get the optimum weight loss in that time period.

I'm 20 years old, currently at 234 lb's and aiming to get to 210 lb's. ( at my heaviest i was 260 lb). I go to the gym about 4-6 times a week, but literally only do weights. I lost about 26 lb from doing weights and eating "fairly well". I have quite a "large"/ "heavy" bone structure according to the dukan diet website calculator and am fairly broad, but have always been over weight.

I know obviously to step up the weight loss i need to introduce more cardio etc. and have read a lot about HIT training. Which im looking to start over the next few days, does anyone have any good HIT training routines for running AND/OR skipping/jump rope???

Any advice on meal plans? currently:

Breakfast: tend to have 2 weetabix or 2 poached eggs on toast....

Lunch: Always have either chicken or tuna with salad ... (have eventually removed having any mayo etc. with it, but do have a couple of slices of cheese with the salad, would removing the cheese make a big difference??)

Dinner: Trying to have another chicken or tuna salad etc. for dinner.

Just wanted to make sure im getting a decent balanced diet?

The main problem on the diet side of things is fizzy drinks, quite often will have 500ml - 1ltr of lucozade, coke or dr. pepper, and obviously cutting this out would probably make a big difference?

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi,

You should swap your fizzy drinks for water if you can, even the diet stuff is not good for you. Cheese is highly calorific a 1" cube of cheddar is about 60 calories, so you can soon consume 200 calories in a snack - try fruit instead.
Breakfast - 2 weetabix, 2 shredded wheat, porridge but check out the calibrations on the diet bowl because porridge comes up to the red band. Oats are very calorific think of how fast they make a horse go!

You don't have to have a bland salad, you can use a mint and lemon dressing, or a bit of balsamic and olive oil. Mayo though is quite high in calories so just have a teaspoon or two not a tablespoon or two.

You don't have to have salad twice a day - chooses something hot for your main meal but make most of the plate veggies and think hard about your portion sizes because it does matter.
Good luck, I hoped you made it to your 210lb for your holiday - by the way for 210lbs you should be about 6' 6" tall - are you?

Hey mate! have ever tried any weight loss challenges or like a 90 day meal plan? i think watching and tracking what we eat is the easiest way to lose weight. i watched my sister lose 45 pounds in 90 days following a simple meal plan, work outs and off course a few good supplements that helps with energy and body cleanse. an other good question how often do you do a cleanse?
