weigh and measure

Im just starting out after a year now..I got myself the Jillian Micheals 30 day shred..Looks easy to follow unlike a few other workout dvds where i tossed to the side because i couldnt keep up!

Now..My scale has become my worst enemy..I need to put that thing away!

How often should i weigh..?

I plan to workout 5 days a week..how often should i measure myself ?
 
Really it's totally up to you. I weigh myself daily, and take measurements about once a week or so. But I'm also one of those people who doesn't freak out about the numbers ....

Some people recommend not weighing more than once a week and some will tell you to toss the scale entirely and focus on look/feel.
 
You Don't Need a Scale

Truth be told you don't need a scale, body fat calipers or anything like that.

It's always important to measure the actual progress you want to make. I don't know of many people who care how much force they place upon the earth (weight). People don't usualy want to lose weight, they want to lose fat. 2 very different things.
