Weed and Running

I just got back from a 3 mile run at the pacde of 8 mph on the treadmill. As I was running I didn't feel the usual as I would eg; I felt very elevated, pushing my endurance was easier and I almost didn't feel the pain. Is it because I smoked some yesterday?
What are the effects of weed on cardio?
Highs and Lows?
