*Let me start off by saying I am not sure if I am allowed to post this, so feel free to delete, and I am deeply sorry*
I am starting/releasing a health/fitness related website, something I believe can be very useful to a great deal of people. I think of it more as a project than a website. When I explained the general idea of the project to my friend, he called it the "Wikipedia of fitness".
Allow me to explain.
Before I came to the fitness.com forums and itransforum, I had, by my self, accomplished a lot. I had lost a great deal of weight and went from a sedentary life style to working out. I knew everything about weight loss and health. Then, I posted my diet and workout, had them evaluated, and found out I knew absolutely nothing about what I was doing. But at the same time I was also inspired to learn all that I could. And now, I see the best results I have ever had, I have a greater sense of accomplishment (knowing I am doing everything the right way, and most importantly I am learning a great deal everyday)
And during my short period of time I have been a part of these 2 forums, and I am sure everyone will agree with me. There are a lot of "C-MayheM's" that pass by here and do the same thing. These forums, and this community provides a great service to people for free.
But what do I not like? (I will tell you) I do not like that there are so many great posts on these forums daily that eventually fade away. Also the same questions that are answered each week.
So here is my general plan. The wikipedia of fitness. A database of fitness info, added by anyone and everyone (and checked of course, no false info). Personally I would like to dig up/add posts daily that I find helpful (asking permission + giving you credit of course). Anyone can write up articles or essays on fitness related topics and have them on the site for the world too see.
anyway...
The site is , and I greatly appreciate anyone who helps out or uses it in the future.
p.s. the data base is empty now, Monday I am starting to build it up. If you have any questions or want to help out PM me, email me, or use the contact page on the site. cory@bchfitness.com
Thankyou for reading.
