Anyone else in here wear contact lenses? I'm thinking of switching the kind i use, and looking into the PureVision continuous wear ones. I think I'm gonna ask my doctor when I'm there - apparently you can get a free trial and they'll also reimburse you $30 toward your doctor appointment, which seems like a pretty win win situation. Has anyone used PureVision contacts, and if so what do you think of them?

hmm...interesting, will you let me know? I think contacts are different for everyone, which is why I have to talk to my doctor about it anyway, but i thought it was worth asking 
I just love the idea of waking up and being able to see without having to put my contacts in every morning...In any case, let me know if you hear anything more about your friend. I think I may give that trial thing a try.

that said, they are hard on the eyes, and can easily bring infections if you don't take them out on a regular schedule and disinfect them.
why the need for 24/7 lenses? its not a big deal to fall asleep in regular lenses from time to time, just rest the eyes afterwards.
try different regular wear, disposables too. disposables are superior to non-disposables, and cheaper in the long run.
I used to wear AccuVue 2, but after trying O2 Optix, I went with those. There's another kind even more comfortable who's name escapes me now, but they weren't $15 a box more comfortable than the O2 Optix, so....
I have a mild condition called blephitus that can make my eyes really dry. the O2 optix handle that pretty well tho, better than accuvue2.

Right - that's the difference. I wear disposables right now but the PureVision ones are supposed to be good to wear all the time...I can't wear the ones I have now overnight...my eyes don't like that at all That was the initial draw of the continuous wear ones (and why i wanted to get the trial pair)...The fact that those are made to stay in your eyes longer...
