Sport Water

I don't get it, can someone enlighten me.

People who are trying to lose weight should drink lots of water,
whereas people trying to gain weight/bulk up should also drink lots of water.

I know it is good because it helps clear the system out and get rid of some bad shi* out of you, but are there other benefits from drinking water?

Why not drink something different all (well, most of) the time which has calories in it which can assist in gaining weight?

Water has no calories in it, so if I am trying to eat 500 calories above maintenance would drinking a different liquid help in the calorie count?

Consider that your body is over 70% water, it needs a lot to function to its fullest! Every time I see a question about water I link this article, I think its a great read, right from this forum.

Sure, some other beverages can be useful, milk for example. But the average person is not going to need/want to drink a gallon or more of that a day! Water on the other hand, everyone should be doing so...

Your body needs water no matter what you're trying to do. It helps with a lot of other things than just gaining/losing weight. It's not neccesarily a fuel (like calories)... Water basically just keeps your body functioning properly.

You wouldn't rebuild a cars engine then try to drive it around without oil, would ya?
